Let’s face it, most people don’t love going to the dentist. That’s why Dr. Scott Schlensker has made it his mission to change how patients experience dental care. His favorite part of the job is helping people relax, laugh, and actually enjoy their visit. Known for his calm, approachable demeanor and quick wit, Dr. Schlensker takes pride in creating an environment where patients often say, “this place feels different.”

Dr. Schlensker was introduced to dentistry early in life after going face-first into a pole during a pickup basketball game and needing a permanent front tooth replaced. The experience shaped his “less is more” philosophy, favoring conservative, thoughtful treatment plans and giving patients options that fit their comfort level and goals.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Schlensker earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia. He has called Richmond home since 1999 and is fluent in Spanish after serving a two-year church mission in Puerto Rico.

Outside the office, Dr. Schlensker enjoys spending time with his wife, Megan, their four children, and daughter-in-law. He loves all sports and anything outdoors, especially hiking and horseback riding.
